dumbfuck singaporeans

Almost successfully sold Rasputin's newer cage today. Almost. The listing on Ebay was immediately sold to some ass in Yio Chu Kang.

The listing stated pick up at Tanah Merah MRT, but I agreed to a pick up at City Hall MRT instead cos it's on my way to tuition near Ikea Alexandra. As much as it would inconvenience me to lug the cage all the way to fucking City Hall via MRT, I just wanted to get rid of it.

Then I decided fuck, I should just take a cab. It'd be too expensive to drive in with all the ERPs and whatnot. 1 hour prior to meet-up I asked if it was okay to up the price by $10, as I was taking a cab to meet the asswipe. On my part I shouldn't have done this so last minute, but i'd expect some degree of understanding, and I don't want to be ripped off.

Isn't it only fair for him to pay? I did state pick up at Tanah Merah, and I was meeting him at his convenience, nearer to his place.

So he said forget it then.

Wtf moment. I AM NOT ONE TO BE MANIPULATED.

p/s: will hopefully have a photo-blogpost up soon. Been meaning to do that for awhile!

carlos are you lost

Do you not want your jacket back? I'm very tempted to throw it on for fun, you better take it back soon!

You could tell your parents you picked it up at a vintage store for cheap (am not implying in any way that the jacket looks 2nd hand).

Orr..

You could tell them it was a gift.

You could tell them you found it in a cinema.

You could tell them the people at Style magazine have now chosen you to endorse random articles of clothing.

You could tell them you traded in one of your old jackets for this a la YouSwop.

You could tell them they were throwing them out for free to offset rising food prices.

You could..... I've run out of ideas.

laggation

You know that type of headache? When you get up and walk a few steps then your brain sort of.. catches up with your cranium? In doing so it actually knocks the inside of your forehead, sending this strange pain down your face and your vision starts to fuck up momentarily.

That plus inexplicable arm aches. Strange.

Am feeling a financial pinch on the bum. Shelled out $200 for ratty castrations on Saturday, which I did so pretty willingly. It was only the post-payment pinch that got to me. Both Stalin&Rasputin have been snipped and are now testosteroneless. Woke up at some indecent time in the morning (8.30am) and took a cab down to the vet at Bukit Purmei, think Vivocity.

I had to go THAT far to get to the vet because no vets around the East have the confidence to operate on rodents. That's quite sad, cos if someone brings in a dying hamster and the vet refuses the operate they'd just have to put it down.

But anyway, through some asking around I got this clinic's contact number, and they scheduled me right away for an appointment. On that Saturday itself the vet said the surgery could be done. So with slight hesitance, I left my two boys there.

Oh and turns out Stalin has bigger balls than Rasputin! Who would've known...

After the surgery, the vet nurses gave Rasputin a rubber glove filled with warm water to lie on, and apparently he reclined backwards on it cos it was so shiok. The nurses thought he died and got a shock. Am currently nursing the two, giving them their antibiotics and painkillers which would be easier if Rasputin stopped attacking the syringes.

They shouldn't fight anymore after this. And its only right for me to make sure of that before I put them up for adoption :(

you go to jail bad boy

"If you enjoy what you do, you’ll never work another day in your life."

Why is it when I quote this to people, they refuse to believe Confucius said it?

It definitely holds true though.

I give tuition everyday, and it feels like DEATH.

On the other hand despite the long hours and fatigue, I absolutely loved going to the vet every (other) day.

I think my blog was a more interesting read when I was volunteering at the vet. Tuition doesn't exactly get your blood pumping.

i must exit into the night

Need some DJ Patife to calm my nerves.

Ok better.

I am deliriously thankful for everything that keeps me as happy as ever. And keeping me happy, while my departure is looming nearer, though it's still a ways to go.

Rasputin is going to knock his entire food tray off the 2nd floor of his cage if he keeps attacking Stalin through the bars. Ratty castration is sorely overdue, so I will be hopefully be getting it done this week.

Bought a huge-ass 3 tiered ratty cage cos I felt the guinea pig one I bought wasn't suitable. Thinking the two boys were somewhat getting along, I housed them together. Baddd idea.

The cage is awesome though, bought it 2nd hand so backside won't tear.

Girlfriends and I went to Zouk's Flea n Easy to see what all the hype was about. The clothes were actually not bad, was thinking about a $60 maxi dress but decided against it. In the end I had my heart set on a checkered fedora with a red band and pretty blue lining for only $20, but when I finally decided to buy it and went back to the stall, IT WAS SOLD!

I was devastated for all of an hour. I told Yiling - if we see the person wearing it, just take and run ok.

Otherwise the trip was quite unfruitful for me and Yiling. On the other hand, Su and Rau were having a field time. Afterwards we trooped to Great World City and had lunch/dinner at Subway, followed by endless MAD rounds of Pictionary. Su was bringing the cards, hourglass, notebook and pencils around in a plastic bag in her bag, so cute la.

Great World City has BADASS toilets. Photos with Raudhah!

We made our way back afterwards, and Aresha called, on the way home from the Indian fair at the Expo asking if I wanted a ride home. I stood uncomfortably at the taxi stand while all the NS boys were assembling before going to camp, facing the taxi stand. Only because I knew Aresha was going to be blasting the cassette tapes she bought from Sungei Rd on Saturday.

Yes, the Cefiro has a cassette player. It's awesome cos whenever we pick up a random cassette tape we can just pop it in without whinging about how we threw away our walkmans yonkers ago.

Aresha bought Sing Along Singapore, and Learn English with Maggi (primary school teaching aid or something?). She was blasting DAYUNG SAMPAN from the former, windows down, when she arrived at the taxi stand.

She asked when I entered, "You think the army boys heard or not?"

We ended up going to Tampines Mall to window shop. As a result of my devastation earlier, I bought a black fedora from Craft. Don't think i'll use it in the day though, kinda hard to pull it off without looking like every other indie poof.

Oh, we saw Carlos at the flea market! He was buying all sorts of stuff, and an army green fedora. He looks so amazing nowadays, and Yiling and I fell in love with the elbow watch he was wearing. Simpang night soon fo' shor!

______

I really am. I know, it's not their fault, neither their problem. It's just me. I'm just extremely bored waiting.

The last 6 months thereabouts. I'M SO BORED.

I will;

1) Send my bike for repairs tomorrow
2) DRIVE DAMN FECKIN' WELL SO I GET MY LICENSE ASAP
3) Change phone. My contract has expired for 4 months already WTF
4) Spend helluva lot more time with friends

I don't want to leave next year and regret not spending enough time with you monkeys. And I feel so bad everytime I pangseh Ernie and Lani. Thursday AND Friday will be spent out and about, getting drunk (but not as drunk as I was on Lani's birthday, that was the worst) on hopefully the least money possible.

I find that I've been limiting my fun SO much because of my lack of spending. I did want to go see Travis, but didn't think it was worth it. Turns out they played an almost-full set (I think?). F1 walkabout tickets don't seem worth it because the zone is SO FAR FROM THE TRACK.

Aiya I feel like a scrooge. And with Kanye West's concert coming.... God help me.

Et maintenant le voyage a la supermarche!

Flight of the Conchords - Foux Da Fa Fa (which actually doesn't mean anything)

Never fails to cheer me up on a blah day.

I love how everything is simple Paris mod-chic. Even if you don't understand bits of french, you can kinda guess what they're singing are the simplest french phrases, the kind you learn out of travel guides. Though, when put together like this it sounds like a sophisticated conversation, from the perspective of someone who doesn't understand french.

TALK TALK TALK

Would definitely throw self respect out the window for Jemaine. His voice, his.. sideburns. Bret just doesn't cut it for me.

"You're so beautiful... Like a tree... Or a high class prostitute."
"You're so beautiful... You could be a part time model.. But you'll probably still have to keep your normal job."

aw hell no

After Bio tuition today in Sengkang, I started seeing blurry shapes before my eyes. Then on the LRT to Punggol MRT, my head started throbbing and I was having a headache behind my eyeballs, you know the kind?

Thought I could sleep it off on the train on the way to Dhoby Ghaut (last day at WO), but when I reached Dhoby Ghaut I was feeling worse. Bought some Chilli Cheese Fries from Carls Jr. and staggered to WO with my headache getting progressively worse.

Finally reached there, and I was about 1 and a half hours early cos I didn't see the point in going home before making my way there. I decided to just chill out, eat, take some panadol and hope things get better. I had my whole night planned out! Cos its my last day, Lani and Ernie were coming over to the bar to keep me company till closing time, then we'd head to my place for movies and booze.

By the time my shift started the headache was still there, and Mitch told me to just go home. I was reluctant, but I knew I had to otherwise god knows what i'll break or spill if I work later.

Thanks to this FUCKING HEADACHE, my last night at WO which was supposed to be a night of stupid fun was completely ruined.

Why am I blogging at 5.25am? Cos I couldn't tahan and needed to sleep, so I did at about 9pm. After Gerald's call earlier I am now wide awake, but still headache-y, and STARVING.

Took a cab home from WO. Pa was supposed to bring Ash for NDP, but came home after having one drink too many in the afternoon at a wedding he solemnized, which upset Ma, which upset Ash. In the end they never went, and the 6 NDP tickets we got this year went to waste.

Bleh. Didn't work, didn't go out, didn't have a sleepover partay, didn't go out with Gerald at 4am why like that ah.

And why do all the wimmins on the American Apparel Store website not wear bras?

cringe

Wednesday. The killer weekend is approaching, and I say that in the worst way possible. Friday - tuition then WO, Saturday - 3 tuition kids in a row then WO, Sunday - Wake up at some disgusting time in the morning for 4 straight hours of tuition in Sengkang.

I wish I didn't have to work at WO anymore, I've already said i'd quit. But I still have 3 days on my schedule to clear. Mitch knows, Lani and Renie know.. I feel abit sad to go, cos i'll miss the girlies so much. And as much as Mitch is gatal and unreasonable (on occasion), he's extremely fun too.

I promised Yigang i'd bring him to Relish with the 25% staff discount but I won't get it anymore once i'm done working, so hopefully we're going next Monday.

Other than that things have been good, still waiting on the new maid to come.

Past few weeks have been crazy though. Aresha, Primela and I have been going all over the place. The wonders of having a car... I can't wait to get my license! It's a good few months away though.

Over the last few weeks, we've done/gone to -

The abandoned HDB estate at Lim Chu Kang,
The abandoned french embassy at Cluny, near the creepy Istana Woodneuk which we shall check out soon,
Bapuk stakeouts at Changi several times,
JB for some cereal crayfish, salad you tiao, baby kai lan and sweet and sour chicken, THREE TIMES IN THE LAST THREE WEEKS.

We frequent the place so often the guy recognises us already. He said if we come next week he'll have something special for us. Wah.

Whenever there's a jam at the causeway we'll get extra extra hungry. It's horrible torture man, looking forward to the crayfish and you're stuck in the jam. If anyone's interested you're more than welcome to join us! It really is as yummy as it sounds, even I'm getting hungry right now even though I just ate in JB yesterday night. Super shiok.

MAD ABOUT ENGLISH

The 2008 Olympics, Beijing's 'Coming Out' party. Kinda like those parties people have to celebrate their daughter's fertility after her first period.

Will be marching to work tomorrow to quit. I still have 3-4 weeks left to clear on my schedule. I'm not just gonna drop everything halfway, that's so irresponsible. But I know, despite how common sense may normally prevail, my family will be barking at me as to why the hell i'm still going to work at the bar.

Busy-ass weekend and week ahead after that. I now have a total of 6 tuition kids. 1 of which owes me 4 lessons :O

Monday will be my 2nd driving lesson with Uncle Foo. Can't believe I haven't said anything about that yet. Passed my Basic Theory thank god, and am now taking driving lessons. Within my first lesson I already got the hang of switching gears, and Uncle Foo made me leave the carpark onto the busy roads in the Eunos area! I nearly died, but confidence is key. It's really not so hard after all, but I can't say that just yet, at least until I stop stalling the engine.

I am really praying that I inherited my dad's driving skills and not my mom's, otherwise I will be in deep shite and will not be able to pass before I leave for Australia. And that will be unbelievable suckage.
