from my new webcomic obsession

Boy Meets Girl.
Boy Impresses Girl with a Gamecube Birthday cake.
Girl moves in with boy and they play many games together
Boy wants a baby.
Girl wants a Nintendo Wii.

From Anders Loves Maria - a Swedish based romance. Since I knew of the internets i've been reading webcomics, from the beginnings of Megatokyo to the demise of RPGWorld. But unlike those two, I came across Anders Loves Maria unrandomly. In fact, I was on bus no. 12 about a week ago to Jln Tua Kong, because I have a tuition kid staying at Elite Terrace. The new handicap buses have support handles (whatchamacallits) with transparent plastic areas for advertisements.

The one I was standing directly adjacent from had a small piece of torn up paper, which said 'Google Anders Loves Maria' in black ink.

At first I thought it said Anders Loves Mafia (blame bad handwriting) and I googled it, only to be corrected with 'Did you mean: Anders Loves Maria?'

So yes, hence my new webcomic obsession. Do check it out, it's got a cute storyline to it.

I shan't blog anymore because I am a little bit high from too much Redbull and booze from the F1 launch partay. Have a good Friday everyone, despite the shitty jams and congested MRT due to F1. Don't bother going into town, srsly. It's a death wish.

P/S: I didn't see no Redbull Formula Tunas- I mean Unas tonight! I'm very disappointed. D: With the exception of Lutfiah, but she was a Sepang Una. And she's cool la. I want to see the disappointments that are the Singapore Unas.

when the weather gets warm

Right, so today I was supposed to take my Final Theory. I wrote it down in my organiser that it was today.

I got to the CDC early and stood around just like everyone else. I didn't take out my book, but everyone else had, reading up to cram whatever they can at the last minute.

And their books were green. Green for the Basic Theory Test. Hmm something's not right.

Then the time came for everyone to line up outside the classroom. I just had to check my receipt.

23/09/08.

Oh well, I have one more day to brush up on things.

I simply cannot believe I sat on my ass and wasted the first 6 months of this year not learning how to drive. We have two cars, one of which is a sports car, and I procrastinated. Why? I really... don't know. And when I do eventually get my license before I go, which is a gigantic IF, i'll probably have all of a handful of weeks to drive before I leave.

On the flipside, I won't have to worry about being suspended during my probation year.

Haven't been updating. Things have been extremely routine, with the occasional night out every couple of days. This URL has probably been wiped off the face of several browsers, but no matter. I have big plans for this blog in the years to come. Which isn't too long, it's down to 4 months now.

Once October comes around everything will be quite chaotic. I think i'll probably be up to my neck in tuition (MONIES!) with everyone's exams coming around. Tentative Genting trip with the WO girlies, and a tentative Batam trip with the bahluls. Tentative Chiangmai trip in November, and lastly, a tentative (undecided) trip in December. I just need one kickass holiday before I go. I managed to convince the momster that Japan isn't really THAT cold in winter. But it's still in the works.

Then come December it'll be - apply for Visa, source for accomodation online, book my ticket, pass my TP (please god let it be in December, if I pass my FTT tomorrow), have a kickass Christmas with the family, a kickass New Year's with my closest friends, throw a goodbye BBQ and then finally disappear.

Past few weeks have been pretty great, am making it a point to do something fun every weekend. During the RSAF Open House pa managed to get tickets for a ride on the C130. Took some cool photos of the interior, I think we should make it a point to visit Singapore's manymany islands. Some of them are absolutely beautiful! But of course there's the occasional saltwater crocodile.

Went to watch Wall E with Surin before he enlisted. Supposed to watch 4Bia, but the showtimes were in the early afternoon so we decided to watch Wall E instead which was nothing short of awesome. Everytime I bring it up people say it looks irritating, which I have to admit it does, BUT that's very deceptive because it's actually a damn good movie. I want the Wall E robot.

More recently Aresha, Primela, Elizabeth, her boyfriend and I went to Three Monkeys at Orchard Towers to watch Kumar do stand-up comedy. He was just freaking hilarious. Tranny lip-syncing galore, but I loved every bit of it.

Upon noticing ang mohs in the audience;

'Oh hi where are you guys from?'

'We're from London.'

'Ohhh lovely, please stay. We're leaving.'

Okay gotta go and do my tuition thang, as I do everyday. It's really taking a toll, but the money's too good. I'll leave you all with the song from Wall E's closing credits, Down To Earth.

P/S: RATTIES FINALLY GET ALONG! They have totally stopped trying to kill each other. They groom each other, playfight and feel the need to box each other every hour or so. Only shitty thing is that Stalin can squeeze out the bars of the humongo 3 storey cage, which sucks. He got out one night when I wasn't home and bit a hole in the leather of my retro headphones. I wanted to kill him, but of course I didn't. :)

crisis averted

I don't know if Life! mentioned why exactly Kanye's concert was postponed, but if they did, my bad then.

If they didn't, well, he got arrested at LA Airport.

I'm not complaining. At least by the 29th of October i'd have a sizeable amount of money (here's to hoping).

this is it

Everything has fallen on deaf ears. I've done all I could, only for it to be dismissed as being 'unsupportive'.

The past few years, trying so desperately to help, for what? I held on to this like a complete idiot.

So I give up.

All the shitty decisions you've made, you dug this hole for yourself.

I am blunt by nature. It's not what you call.. a strong front. Deal with it, or move on.

<3

Was a short albeit mad couple of hours of DNB, Dubstep, and Ali G's JUNGLE IS MASSIVE! Which really got people off their seats and out of the smoking area back onto Blu Jazz's tiny dance area. Had to wait HOURS for the DNB. Sillyme thought they'd start it at 10pm but the DJ was playing generic nonsense but it wasn't a strictly DNB event so.... Just gotta wait till next Saturday!

The past couple of days have been pretty good to me.. Hell week of tuition has finally wrapped, and I can go back to waking up at whatever time and teaching 2-3 kids a day, rather than 3-4. Had a pretty fun night with Raksha, Dineesha and newfound small friend Abigail with her freshly pierced tongue at Al Majlis, then drinks at Blu Jazz after while waiting for Aresha to start playing.

Met Mimi at Simpang for a drink, then headed to the Geylang bazaar despite the shittyass weather with Fatimah, then an impromptu lepak sesh with Raushan. Need to clock in some sleep for last minute prelim preps with two students!

Photoblogpost soon I promise.
