here's my 250th post!

Haha. It's not much but a milestone anyway. Miss Vasantham starts now, but i'll blog first.

Bought Deepavali stuff from Little India. After spending hours at the infamous Tekka Market, and 4553680394 fugly outfits later, I settled for an extremely plain brown one from the $20 shop. I don't know why. I wanted to get one with a skirt but they were all horribly sequined from head to foot and the colours clashed so bad I was seeing coloured spots before my eyes for awhile.

My mom was surprised I settled for something so plain, and CHEAP! It's plain, and understated. But I think it's still nice. There was this $95 extremely nicely striped one which I adored - the kind where you just HAVE TO HAVE IT. But my mom said there was no lining and i'd be sweating like a pig in it. Sigh. It was really nice and unique, unlike all the others which had one block colour.

Ok maybe i'll continue later... Hahaha.

okay now say it with me.... ARUNA GOT AN A FOR MATH!

HAHAHAAAAAAAAAHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA

It's unbelievable. All I wanted to do was pass so I could be promoted. That means an E grade for 2 H2 and 1 H1 subject.

Heheheh.

I got (so far):

Bio - C (yay!)
Econs - C (kinda sad tho)
Math - A (OMGWTFBBQ HOLY SHIT!)

A freaking ACC! I PROMOTE WITH FLYING COLOURS! HAHA!

Compared to what I was expecting... An EEE? WAaaahhh.

Haha. Screw Chem, GP and Malay! I'm being promoted baby!

Friday evening the classmates and I will be gallivanting to some classy restaurant in Clarke Quay for fun. Haha it's gonna be damn pricy, so I guess i'll be starving for awhile.

ahhhhhh i'm so high on uhh... happiness?

The past two days were fun fun fun. Ended up playing basketball on Sunday, then going to Alex's house just to chill and stuff. Only Yong Quan, Kenneth, Kian Hwee, annchiialiciaalex, Shiyong and me. We invited a P6 kid to play with us cause he was using half the court and the rest of us were using the other half.

So we made light conversation. He was gonna sit for his Chinese PSLE on Monday and is aiming for Hwa Chong Institution. WAHH! So Yong Quan and Kenneth decided to screw around with his head.

"Eh you remember our teacher... that one from RJC one"
"Yong Quan why are you wearing TPJC shorts?" "Ohh oh I was teaching there during first three months"
"Boy ah don't go to RI okay, very stress one"

They were really going all the way with the RJC story, which was bloody hilarious la.

At Alex's house, we just chilled and listened to Kenneth play the same 3 chords on the guitar over and over, singing lyrics varying from "Ali (Alicia) sucks" and "Ali stinks".

Went home after a sort-of-good-workout and bummed at home for 2 hours before showering and leaving to meet UselessBoy at Miss U Cafe. We went to the playground after that and started spying on some china couple who wanted to do funny things there.

Aiya the new playground totally sucks. No more fun swings. AT ALL! I asked pa what happened to the swings, and he said it was part of some safety regulation to not have swings at all. WHAT THE FUCK! All the memories my sis, me, and our crazy neighbourhood friends were all in the two parks in our neighbourhood.

The next day I had to go to Tanjong Pagar to pick up a top I bought online, then rush to school for the OCIP meeting. First two vaccinations are this Thursday!! I'm scared.

Then after that, I was SUPPOSED to go to Serangoon Road with the family but the momster was pmsing as usual so we didn't go. Met Daphne, Kian Hwee, Kenneth and Ryan to go to Daphne's house for our movie marathon! YAY!

Reached her place at about 10pm+ I think. Got all settled in her guest room, took out our DVDs and decided. First we went through Kenneth's fruits of his major $360 shopping spree. I think he was a bit ripped off haha but he was pretty happy. Watched Deuce Bigalow European Gigolo while eating junk food and laughing like crazy. It was really cozy in that room, all of us snuggled onto the bed watching it.

After that, the guys started to wrestle Daphne. I really, REALLY did not want to be involved cause it looked like they were.... gang-raping her or something. But all they were doing was just whacking her with pillows and tickling her. I sat in a corner watching them in amazement. It wasn't a one-off thing, the guys ALWAYS pick on Daphne, in class, outside school, and even in her own home.

Watched the 40 Year Old Virgin after that till past 3am, then put in Scary Movie 4 which we got bored of very very quickly. The guys insisted on watching the Exorcism of Emily Rose so we put it in at about 4+. Ryan is the biggest chicken ever! And he kept telling me to wake him up during the scary parts, which he covered his face throughout anyway.

Kian Hwee, me and Ryan had our backs against the wall, facing the tv while Daphne laid on Kian Hwee's lap and Kenneth laid on mine. So me and Kiwi started scheming. To try and push them close together so they could get all cuddly during the scary parts but Kenneth kept disturbing her! So it totally ruined our plan.

Finally went to sleep at 6+. Kiwi gave up his place on the bed so Daphne could sleep next to Kenneth! Haha. Me and Ryan slept almost immediately while the others seemed to fidget quite a lot.

Later on, after the sun rose, I found myself waking up very easily. Either that, or Ryan has very violent spasms. He would spasm occasionally, whacking me in the side or causing the pillow to slide off the mattress. Kenneth, on the other side, kept fidgeting and both goons were snoring. So all I could do was cover myself with the blanket in an attempt to block out both the sun and their horrible morning noises.

Daphne had woken up before all of us and was getting bored of watching us sleep, so she yelled to wake us up. Ryan and I very reluctantly did so while moving out of the way to watch the gang-raping of Daphne part 4.

We tried to sleep after that but gave up and watched Daphne's brother's 2 episodes of Pokemon season 2 while eating oreos. Ryan wanted to watch The Spongebob Squarepants movie after that but the other two guys got bored, and Daphne's mom asked us to go downstairs and eat and watch TV so we did. Her mom ordered us SO much Pizza Hut that we couldn't finish it. After that, we rolled up in balls on her sofa and watched Shutter. Ryan kept facing us on purpose to avoid the scary parts.

Nearing the end, Daphne's brother came home from school and spoilt the ending for those who hand't watched it yet. Not that it really mattered, and Kenneth was only interested in the rape scene -_-

Played some really funny Soul Calibur with him on his ps2 while Daphne showered before going with Kiwi to Lucky Plaza cause she broke his specs. The moment Daniel (her bro) approached his impending doom, he would exit the game. The guys didn't get angry cause he was just a kid anyway. But it was really funny hearing Ryan trash talk Daniel as he was kicking his ass.

Left her place after that. By that time it was already 3pm+, so I reached home and conked off on the sofa while watching who were the 100 richest celebrities on E!.

I told myself no matter what I WILL enjoy myself during the days leading up to the release of results. Which is TOMORROW. I'm feeling really jumpy to be honest. But I think I should be alright.

I think. :D

stupid piece of shit haze!

Didn't go to Malaysia cause the haze hit 120 on the PSI at 11am and KL and JB were just a few of the more worse off places. But we can go to Malaysia anytime la, no biggie.

The momster wasn't feeling well the whole day. Sleeping throughout the night with the windows open dried her throat and screwed up her eyes. I always have my air-con on at night and amazingly it filters out the horrible smell, so I presume whatever smokey chemicals get into my room gets filtered by my amazing air-con.

So you should do the same. Close all your windows, switch on the air-cons.

Anyway. I'm so confused as to what to do tomorrow. If the haze is still shitty, I'd feel so reluctant to go out cause 140 is already fucking unhealthy. Also.... I'm having the worst breakout yet. I just don't understand it. What am I doing wrong? I wash my face, I keep it clean, my hair's pinned up, I use pimple gel and I don't pick at my face (anymore). So seriously.... Someone PLEASE tell me what i'm doing wrong. Cause my complexion just keeps getting worse. AND. I'm starting to have really bad scars. The kind that never go away until you go for laser treatment.

Sigh.

So yeah, its really taking bites out of my self-confidence, cause it's just making me wanna stay home and never step out and show people how horrible my face is. WHY ME?! WHY?? Why couldn't god or whoever-the-fuck-did-this give acne to someone who deserves it? I know people who keep their face clean and it stays clean. I also know people who don't wash their hands after using the toilet, sleep in school with their faces pressed onto school tables and pick every pimple they have in sight. YET, their face STAYS more or less clean. Better than mine ever is anyway.

I told my mom already. If next Friday's appointment at the skin centre is yet another fucking useless waste of time, I want PROPER treatment. That actually requires SOME money. I don't care, I don't want to go through life like this anymore. I had enough of fucking useless subsidised treatment that my father gets fucking reimbursed for anyway. So he's not forking out a single cent.

Yup. I'm finally putting my foot down. People keep telling me, 'oh! your face is clearing!' every other day and i've heard it for the past 6 months and my face has gotten anything BUT better. I understand some people are genuinely concerned but as long as you don't have acne, or never had it at any point, you're in no fucking position to tell me what i'm doing wrong.

AIEEE. And all I wanted to do was blog about my plans tomorrow. Hahah.

Ok yeah back to tomorrow. The class is meeting up to play basketball. I messaged them saying that it's really unhealthy to do it, and now Kiwi (kian hwee :D) wants to come over for the day to play ps2. Not that I mind, but... I have plans that i've been looking forward to. HEHEH.

Unplanned plans. Ugh.

Ah heck. I don't know whether to go for a facial or not. Cause I don't know whether they've been doing more harm than good to my face.

You know, I need to stop being so whiny. Haha.

YAAAAAAAAAAAYYYYYYYY!!!!!!

IT'S OVER!!! OVER OVER OVER YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAYYYYY!!!!!!

5, actually 4 more days of sweet non-schooling bliss before we get our papers back. The day of reckoning, next wednesday. Finding out who's getting promoted, and... who's not. I really really hope everyone in my class promotes! And of course me too. Hope hope hope.

Ended up watching Rob-B-Hood for our post-bio exam movie. Fatimah, Fadhilah, Hafizah, me anddd... YONG QUAN! Haha damn random sia. And I sorta really appreciated him coming cause its always like, oh if Ryan/Wilbur/Kenneth/Kian Hwee/Mark-ok maybe not mark- not coming I don't wanna go, I lazy ah, I wanna go home sleep ah tired ah this ah that ah.

Although he DID fall asleep in the cinema, it was still a nice change.

Haha.

Okay anyways. They didn't have Little Miss Sunshine at TM or CS which kinda sucked cause we didn't wanna go to town in our school uniforms, so we persuaded a very reluctant Fatimah to watch Rob-B-Hood after Fad and Fizah felt like watching it after seeing the mini-trailer outside the box office.

That movie is bloody hilarious! A bit draggy, but nice at some parts, touching at some, and funny at ALL. Haha. Jackie Chan and some other chinese fella play professional burglars who... burgle rich people and spend it on themselves - gambling, providing for an extra-marital girlfriend and what not. Then one day their boss gets robbed, so they take up a job worth $7m. Turns out the cash was payment for a baby from a disgruntled old man who insisted the baby was his grandkid cause his late son was the baby's mom's ex boyfriend. Follow so far? Good.

Then in the one week they have to babysit the baby, they learn life lessons. Like... compassion and other moral-related things. AHHH it's like every genre of movie compiled into over 2 hours of film. Comedy, thriller, action, drama wah wah wah.

Okay ya it's a must-see for people who can appreciate chinese comedy. Shows like Kung Fu Hustle... or... Himalaya Singh! Haha.

Man. It's so weird to walk into my room and see all my notes strewn all over the place... and not having to study. It's really uncomfortable. I mean, I was only studying for the past four weeks, but the past 6 months have been spend doing tutorials, worrying about promos and stuff.

Okay enough of that.

Went to Sentosa today with the classmates! Woke up 10 mins after the designated time we were supposed to meet. I messaged Kenneth out of guilt cause I told him he better not be late the day before. Turns out, he woke up late too! Haha. So rushed down to Harbourfront to meet the rest (Pei Xuan, Daphne, Yong Quan, Ryan, Kian Hwee, Wilbur, Kenneth) who were so nice about waiting for me :D

Went to Pahlawan (or is it Palawan) beach and set up base. They didn't want the spot me and the girls usual go to when we had our regular Sentosa trips last year cause we brought a volleyball and the only area to play was further down where it was more crowded. Spied a naked bangla and was scarred for life.

Some stupid matminah (and really fat) couple were doing something really fishy in the water. They were just sitting there, guy behind the girl, not swimming around or ANYTHING! They were just sitting there, occasionally turning away from the crowd. It really gross, and the guys were making hilarious comments.

The guys changed first and started jumping into the water while the girls contemplated on wearing our tops over our bikinis or not. In the end we just heck-cared and the guys were all topless anyway. I walked into the water first by myself just up to my knees, then noticed the guys had their... mischievious looks on and got a bit suspicious.

Me: Uhh... Are you guys planning something?
Yong Quan: Ya. Wait ah.

They were totally discreet about it too!

Daphne came along and then Yong Quan started saying there was a dead crab on the floor, covering it with his palms. I was like.. If it's dead why are you covering it? HAHA. And they were saying out loud, 'Eh you take the pincer, you take the leg etc etc' so I backed away. Daphne fell for it and got dunked hahaha.

So we were just floating aimlessly in the water when suddenly..

Kenneth: Eh you guys wanna hear a joke? What do you find in Singapore waters?
Everyone: What?
Kenneth: SINGAPORE FLAG! *takes out some mini-flag from the water and shows it to everyone*

Wah lao that was the most random thing ever la! Finding a Singapore flag in the water... THEN making a hilarious joke out of it, priceless la.

Tried to catch crabs after that and floated around a bit more. Then we went to buy sunscreen and tried to tan ourselves, only for us to end up building little ponds all linking up to each other. We were lying down, then Kenneth first sat up and started digging, then Ryan, then the other guys, then Pei Xuan. Then everyone together was happily digging holes in the sand while everyone looked at us as if we were retarded.

But it was fun man.

At about 3+ I think, we left to shower and stuff. Then we went on the Skyride! It's the luge.. Minus the luge itself. So that just leaves the cable-chair thing. It was super hilarious too cause Kian Hwee kept rocking the seat he was sitting on, making Pei Xuan and Daphne scream for dear life. The guys thought I was gonna fall out on the initial ride cause the divider that's supposed to go between your legs ended up to my left. So my legs were squashed with Kenneth's left leg, who also thought I was gonna fall off the thing.

After the skyride we ate dinner at Pastamania before embarking on an hour-long journey together on the number 10. One of my not-so-bright ideas, cause everyone was dead tired and didn't have much energy to talk.

Haha. I had a great day today. Did the rest of you have fun not going to Sentosa? No? I thought so. Tomorrow is a tentative Malaysia shopping trip, Sunday is another goingout day, Monday I go pick up a top I bought online then go to school for an OCIP meeting, and Tuesday I think we're having a movie marathon! Or monday night. Hm.

whoa... what? miss singapore is... hot?

Okay so when was Miss Singapore Universe 2006? I was too arsed to catch it this year, but was this girl the winner?

OMG! Is she hot or what? Okay maybe this picture is not too good, but damn it, she's hot!

I think her face looks nice here.

FWAH! But her pose a bit awkward looking.

They were showing the Asia Pacific contestants today I think, and I was just channel-surfing and switched to channel 5 the moment they were showing her. At first I was thinking.. wah not bad. Which not-Singapore country was she from?

Pereira Colleen Francisca's her name. Never mind the fact that she's Eurasian. Out of all the contestants they showed during that segment, the contestants from Philippines, Sri Lanka, China and all, I thought she was the hottest. Miss Tahiti was there, she was the only Caucasian. How weird.

Yay!

Miss India's swimsuit picture is hot too. Wow.

Damn her hair looks nice.

Miss Mexico! Shit. I had this image in my mind that she'd be tanned and wears a grass-cutter hat. Movie stereotypes! =/

I dunno why but I love this picture. Miss Bahamas looks so gorgeous!

Miss Korea's her 'come-hither' look really works for her.

Miss Venezuela looks like the PCD singer, but hotter.

Although she's sporting currypuff hair I think Miss Denmark still looks like a doll.

Miss Ireland's picture looks like its out of a fashion magaine, but she looks irresistable *isnotlesbian*

Okay. You saw the HITS, now the MISSES :D Since i'm in no position to comment about their features, let's see the get-up.

Holy fuck. Talk about a gaudy swimsuit, sheesh. Plus the chunky bangles AND the mismatching headband. What a disaster, Miss Japan.

Poof-haired Miss Malaysia.

Oh man. I'm at a loss for words. This is Miss Mauritius. This pic looks like it was taken in the early nineties.

I'm sorry Miss Barbados. But I hate the dress, the hair, your pose... Okay let's just say I hate the whole picture okay?

I said I wouldn't comment on looks.. but.. I. Hate. Her. Jaw. Mr- I mean Miss Peru.

Miss El Salvador looks 15 years old here. Too cutesy for my liking. Take note: MY LIKING.

Miss Chile's pose looks like she just sprained her neck. And boy, don't I know what's its like to have your neck locked in place *shudders*

Miss France is pretty, but this picture is so WTF. Like someone took a picture of her at a club or something. BLEGH.

Miss USA looks like a kid off the fashion spreads in magazines for teenagers. And I think she's.... ugly.

Maybe its just me, but Miss Lebanon's outfit reminds me of a scene from the Lord of the Rings, the one when they were in the Mines of Moria. MYTHRIILLLL!!

A night with Miss Brazil will cost you as much as her prostitute-esque tiger stripe-print top costs.

Miss Wales = Miss Boncet Extraordinaire 2006.

This picture of Miss Sweden looks very awkward. Like one of those corporate pictures on ads or something. I don't know what i'm talking about.

She's pretty and leggy. I understand Scotland's trademark is the kilt and all but what's that thing she's holding up to her crotch? It looks like a pouch with balls. Strategically placed balls.

Miss South Africa has that 'Uhh soo... Am I walking the right way? Uhh what do I do now?' look on her face. I know this was taken while she was walking so its not her fault blahblah but couldn't the Miss World people have put up a better picture of her? How inconsiderate, putting up such a picture allowing people with too much free time to make fun of it.

almost... there....

3 H1 papers down, 3 monster H2 papers to go. Oh the stress! Oh the lack of time! Oh my achy shoulders!

I can't wait for all this to be over. Volleyball at Sentosa with the class next Friday! Yay!

Aaaaand... I LOVE ONLINE SHOPPING! <3 <3

:D

I must be the millionth blogger to post this.

A bit late ah. But.. JONATHAN! WHY? Why la why. If he became Singapore Idol, it would be such a refreshing change! But no.

Oh well. Don't worry Jon, you'll always be MY Singapore Idol HAHA so fucking corny but I mean it. If he cuts an album i'll definitely be buying it.

Jonathan is so SESSY.

Okay enough SI ranting. A week and two days to to the END of promotionals. They start on friesday. End next thursday. We're planning a post-bio exam movie. I wanna watch Rob-B-Hood but Fatimah wants to watch Little Miss Sunshine. But as long as both are funny, it's good enough for me.

And during the weekend, the momster and me will be shopping in JB for a day. On the other day, a little somethin' somethin' i've had planned in my head for awhile. Then monday (which will be a wonderful, wonderful holiday, for me that is), I will most probably be wasting the day away, although I would be better off coming up with something constructive to do.

Hurr. I'll ask Ms Tan for the D70 next Thursday and take some awesome peektures with all my free time. Awesome is subjective.

Hmm. I want to eat at more new places. I'm always going to the same places to eat, it gets so boring. Cause the people I go with can be really fussy.

But with fellow Assistant-in-Charge for prom, Deborah Sim, we go places man. Seriously.

We were wandering around the basement of Century Square and came across a jap restaurant called... Uma Uma Men or something like that. Had a salmon donburi I think. It was quite awhile ago. She has something else, plus one green tea, and some weird tasting ice cream and it came up to less than $20! Student discount. And the portions are BIG.

Another time, Bryan, her and me went to Ajisen Ramen. Kill me now, but it's the first time i've even stepped into the place. The ramen... is GOOD! Their side dishes are awesome too! But.. DON'T buy their green tea. It's assholifyingly bitter.

A bit on the pricy side though. $43 for the 3 of us. But they give a LOT of ramen. Service charge was what... $7? Yeowch.

Then just last Friday, we had to go to town after school (in our school uniforms, UGH) to get the door gifts from NTUC Income and Kimage at Funan. After spending 20 mins in the hot sun trying to get a cab (and almost getting run over by a speeding BMW), I got fed-up and went to the other side of the road, only to end up flagging for a Merc cab!

So we went to town in comfort and luxury, and the fare was no problem cause the school would reimburse us. Man what a digression.

But anyway, after going to NTUC Income, we had a few hours to kill before Kimage, so we window shopped. Then felt hungry. After scanning the Raffles City basement directory for awhile, I saw some place called The Pizza Place. I thought it would be a nice change from the usual... Pizza hut and the works, so we went there.

It's a pretty quaint place, not much of a crowd, tucked deep somewhere in the basement level. The sell pizza by the slice or as a whole or a mix of different toppings. They also had pasta and baked rice AND side dishes. I had a Seafood Carbonara which cost about... $9 I think?

The sauce is SO MUCH BETTER than Pastamania. Seriously. It's hard to make good sauce cause everyone tries to make it and some fail terribly. Bacon bits, fried calamari rings and small prawns arranged altogether to look extremely fancy. But still cheap. I don't think there was service charge, hmm.

So that marks the end of my pre-promo gourmet. Deb and I will probably be working full-time on prom after promos, so... Maybe our food-tasting adventures shall continue.

Heheh.

one more weeeeeeek.......

Argh. One more painful week of slogging away till I break free of this horrible burden that is the fucking promotionals. I've mugged more than I did for my O's, so far. And I still have a week of mugging to go! Unbelievable.

I shouldn't be juggling other sites while blogging cause that's just stupid.

Sunday, September 17, 2006

aruna will do the following things to reduce her acne problem.

1. Eat less heaty food (no more tom yam cup noodles :( )

2. Buy those everyday mask thingies

3. Stop washing my face with water and drying it with toilet paper in school. That is badbadbad. Will buy cleansing wipes from TM asap!

4. Stop scratching my face when i'm bored

5. I've stopped squeezing pimples, but I should try not to squeeze them even if they do explode by themselves

6. Stop/Continue going for facials? Cause apparently right, some make your skin worse. I dunno eh, my skin's become worse and my pores and more obvious. So how? Don't go lor.

7. I hate to say this... but STOP PLAYING BASKETBALL IN THE SUN with my class. WAAAAHHHH I cannot believe I just said that cause it's soooo much fun. And it reminds me of the times I had with 4E2, playing captain's ball with the WHOLE CLASS.

Too much sun's apparently really bad for the skin. And i'm getting darker so that's not good.

8. Fuck up those National Skin Centre MOTHERFUCKERS! I swear... I am gonna scream at the fucker first thing come October. ROAR! HELL HATH NO FURY SOMETHING SOMETHING!! AHH!!

9. Try not to stress-out so much and stick to 12am bedtimes on weekdays

Yep. So I guess that's about it. Then hopefully sometime soon I shall emerge a... person with a clearer complexion! I'm not expecting a miracle but i'm not asking for too much either.

Wah kao. I have crazy-ass emotional roller-coasters.

ask too many questions, and you'll only get hurt in the end.

Well. I can't help being such an insecure wreck. About everything going on around me. Cause there's always that chance that it could all go wrong.

I dunno eh, it's always been like this. If I had a choice, I'd obviously wouldn't wanna be this way. Neither would I wanna have a fucked up complexion, or do things thinking i'm helping someone but I end up doing more harm than good, or have someone feel like i'm intruding in their life when I really am being... very genuine.

BLAH.

Watched 3 movies in a row today. Didn't study. I think I have a deathwish.

sometimes... i feel for the attendants in my school.

There's a male malay attendant that stands at the foyer guides parents' cars further up the foyer, so they can drop their kid off without obstructing the other cars, with hand signals.

Pa was sending me to school one morning and as we approached the foyer....

Pa: You see this guy. I feel like just banging him down. Why is he showing me where to go? I'm not stupid, I know where to go.

Me: Pa... That's horrible.

Pa: ....mm.

Time to mug! Because I have no life.

Wednesday, September 06, 2006

my brain is mush.

For the first time in my life for ANY exam, i'm studying 4 weeks in advance. Miraculous right? Well I have to, if I don't wanna retain. Which is the scariest shit ever lah. Emo-haired Paul told me to just retain cause it's BETTER. Wtf. Better my ass. I've got a lot on the line here! Council, OCIP, blahblahblah. Just cause my graduation cert won't say that I retained, ended up pulling out of OCIP and getting sacked from council on top of it, it won't have much else to say anyway.

Monday was the worst. 4 hours of chemistry class, then council exco meeting for 3 hours, and it dragged on even after we went to Tampines Mart MacD's to take a break. Went home and TRIED to study, but I felt so mentally exhausted I just read Negi Magi and went to sleep.

Tuesday had Math and Chem for hours, then me and Fatimah went for dinner at Seoul Garden with Chen Xi! Haha. At first he was gonna blanja both of us, until I told him I didn't have cash BUT had NETS. Me and my big mouth. So I ended up paying for myself. But it was still fun. Fatimah had to leave early, so me and Chen Xi went to Toys'R'Us to throw things at each other and fight with styrofoam swords.

It was a good break, but not good enough. Tried to study again, but the Mole is a pain in the ass. And that's just the LEAST bit of chemistry I have to worry about. I tell you, the secondary school syllabus is the biggest joke ever. Instead of teaching us LIES, they could've thought us stuff USEFUL for 'A'Level chemistry, but noooo.

Tonight I HAVE to start on... I dunno.. Chemical Bonding? Bahhhh. Such a pain in the ass, promos. And I still have Math and Bio to mug for. I HATE BLOGGING ABOUT EXAMS!

But that's the only thing on my mind right now.

cheers from the blotchy-faced one.

I went for a facial yesterday. And she squeezed the LIFE out of my face, I swear I almost cried. And i'm not gonna pop anymore antibiotics, cause the doc told me to give it another 2 months but no change so far. I was supposed to see him last week, but I had to cancel last minute cause of an OCIP meeting, so my next appointment is in the first week of OCTOBER. Sheesh.

So yeah. My skin is covered in blotches cause the facial lady really squeezed the living daylights out of my face.

Prom '06 is really killing me. A certain british teacher-in-charge, for my sake I guess I can't name names, is really not cooperating. Following other teachers advice, I should never EVER call him. So I smsed him. No reply. So I sent him an online message through the school's intranet system. Not only has he not replied, he hasn't even READ it.

Why do I need to contact him so badly? Cause he's in charge of setting up a meeting with the Ritz Carlton officials, and I need the date of the meeting so I can inform the J2s who are going. There's a chance the meeting is on Tuesday, and I need to know the date asappppp.

Working with him really makes you wanna rip your hair out. Not only does he NOT want help from other teachers, he'll rip your heart out, skewer it and barbeque it should you even SUGGEST the POSSIBILITY of employing more help for prom to ease his heavy workload.

He's like Miranda from the Devil Wears Prada. I brace myself every morning when the Prom committee has to meet him in his office, and he keeps saying the same thing.

'I'm not SCOLDING you, this is just a blunt exchange.'

But nobody dares to bring anything up cause nobody wants to challenge him in any way.

I understand he's busy and all, but all I need is some insurance that he has at least remembered to CALL the Ritz officials in the first place. GAHHHH!!!!

Okay i'll be going in 5 minutes so I can watch Life Isn't All Ha Ha Hee Hee. Can you believe it's a series and not a movie? Each episode is 90 minutes long. The first episode was pretty confusing initially cause I thought it was a movie.

And i've started to watch Miss Vasantham 2006. This year's contestants are MUCH better looking than last year's, but that's not why I watch it. I like to laugh at the way they speak, the annoying performances and the judges' errors in their grammar. Start watching horrrrr.

overworked, underappreciated.

But it's all good. I'll just continue putting in hours of effort invisibly. Like with... ninja stealth!

It's hard to read all the appreciation messages going out to everyone else but you. Bah, I won't harp on it. Maybe i'm being overly-sensitive. But somehow... I'm still sad. Sad enough to tear up while typing this.

But i'm glad for the council, for everyone that TPJC's Teacher's Day concert was a roaring success. I'm extremely proud of everyone who put it effort, those who spent evenings till late in school doing work (see what i'm discreetly getting at?).

Ahh but i'm genuinely appreciative ok! I'm really happy with the way things turned out, under-appreciated or not. I enjoyed myself thoroughly during the process of preparing and the concert itself. So what the hell huh.

Okay. I've decided that i'll save up and backpack around Japan when my A'levels are over. Mabel visited TPJC the day before Teacher's Day and she told me that her friend went to do vet science in a university in New Zealand with her PRELIM RESULTS. Prelims are in September, what the hell! So she'll be in the first intake of the year.

If I do that... it means no backpacking in Japan! Nooo!!!

Ash has periodic bursts of snores. And it sounds DAMN loud and gross. Every five minutes he's like.. SNGGGARCK!

It's 1.06am and pa is nowhere to be seen. Usually he calls if he's coming late, or even lies about being home by 10.30pm. Not even that.

EH EH I HAVE NEWS!

Aruna is now addicted to a new manga. Previously.. it was Love Hina. Now it's...

MAGISTER NEGI MAGI! Surprisingly, also by Ken Akamatsu. I just LOVE the way he draws. Negi Magi's NOT AS perverted as Love Hina, but there's still some. But what's amazingly amazing is the battle scenes. It's seriously no joke. Huge landscapes, evil demons, detailed melee combat, it almost gives me a headache so I read it a little at a time. I'm up till volume 8 and all I saw was volumes 1-14 so bahhh :(

I hope there's more. Before I saw this, I was browsing Popular's comics section with Fatimah (Sim, not Yasin ahaha), I initially wanted Fushigi Yugi but they didn't have volume 1 stupidly. There were two different versions of Fushigi Yugi. The TV series Suzaku one and a Genbu one. I wasn't really interested in what was happening with the maiden of Genbu so I looked around for something new to pick up.

Then I saw Magister Negi Magi! Yay! I'm so glad I got myself a new manga addiction. Maybe i'll start drawing again. Highly unlikely cause I spend loads of time drawing one thing and i'm now a wannabe-professional photographer so I'm just waiting for that period of time in my life where I can actually be A BUM.

Yes. A bum. When you finally reach a point where you realise 24 hours a day is SERIOUSLY not enough, and it goes on for days, weeks, months, you'd give anything for free time. Free time for you to explore. Pick up something new. Earn your own keep. Do something you love doing, but just never had the time. Create something artistic yet requires you to be meticulous towards every detail.

And when you're finally done, the satisfaction you derive from it? Priceless.

In sec 3, I once spent a week on a drawing. I look at it every now and then, and up till now, I still smile to myself thinking about how great it looked. Aesthetics aside, what really made it look like it was worth a million bucks was the thought of how much was put into it.

Well. Since I have no time during the week to blog and bore you with my daily itinerary, here's just some deep thoughts from the dusty, neglected realm of my imagination and philosophical side. Right.

On a completely unrelated note, check out my spring pig! Get it? It's not a spring chicken... it's a spring pig! Haha i'm so witty! I'm in love with my new handphone accessory. Everytime I take out my phone I like to play with my pink pig. I was never a fan of the colour pink, but my phone, it's landyard and this pig is pink.

Funny, how things are like... that.

Anyways, I took this with my darling V3x, so quality's a tad fuzzy. And the edge of my finger can be seen. Haha oops.

There's something about tonight that's... almost magical. Maybe it's cause my room smells nice, maybe it was the divine chocolate cake I had earlier, maybe it's the blue glow from my phone as it charges, maybe it's the fact that i'm up late, on the internet which hasn't happened in a LONG time, maybe it's the delightful serenity of silence that's very calming right now.

My house is almost NEVER this quiet. On second thought, my dad just got home. 2.40am. Well, good luck to him with the momster tomorrow!

Bla. I better sleep so I can study tomorrow. Hopefully. Nighty night!

love less.

www.ironhymen.com

HAHAHAHAHA. Ahh. HAHA.

It's fake (i think), so just go there and chuckle a bit.

Got a partay to go to in about an hour's time! Shangari's hip happenin' Bling and get a Fling or something along those lines. It's been what... 2 years since I went for a big birthday party? And I really mean big.

And I got an email invite to yet another party. From Ryan, a guy I got to know through Nicholas at the Coldplay concert. But I think i'll pass unless i'm bringing someone. And it's dangerously close to the big promo exams in October, so see how lorrr.

Speaking of promos, I hereby love JC1 exams. Each subject has ONE paper (except GP and MT), which ROCKS cause I only need to sit for 4 major major papers. And it all finished by the first week of October! Hoi mai gord! But after that, it's PW, preparation for the JC2 prom, Orientation 2007 and OCIP all the way.

NYah nyahnyah ok I'm gonna bathe now. Tomorrow is a Study Sunday. I love the ring to it.

P/S: The uglyass pink straps of my montrosity of a bag broke. So i'm back to using my Nightmare Before Christmas bag. Hurr.

aruna likes ugly things.

Yes. I think I do. Cause everytime I pick out something I think is the most adorable thing in the universe, people around me go... OMG ARUNA, or EWW ARE YOU KIDDING? It's pathetically sad. I mean, if I didn't have all these critical people around me, I'd be walking around, head to toe in UGLY.

On the other hand, some people share the same taste as me. So it's not necessarily ugly, it just doesn't appeal to some. Or a lot, in my case.

Here's a perfect example.

I have a love-hate relationship with this sort-of-new bag I bought. When I first saw it, I HAD to have it, and it was 50% off. So I got it for $12.50. I liked the colour and all, but the straps just make me sick. The barf-inducing shade of pink makes me wanna throw the bag against the wall and hope it changes colour.

I went back to the shop again the other day. They put ANOTHER bag next to this one which was also on discount. It's exactly the same, except the straps were PEACH! I felt so cheated.

Sigh.

I've been doing 50% of my work lately, and I tomorrow I will be studying with Primela at Marine Parade. Yay me! I've been buying a lot of snacks lately too, and i'm starting to lose my waist. Shit shit.

Right so.. I feel like watching the movie my mom's watching downstairs while eating dinner. BAI!

aruna needs more shoes.

Yep. Redoing my boring blog layout so it's just as boring, but it's a change nonetheless.

I'm juggling ebay, frontpage, iTunes, YouTube, SomethingAwful forums and 3 msn convos at the same time. Shiok! Oh and eating chicken pie.

I've been eating chicken pie for the last 3 meals. Well, only cause my dad got 5 free from some function he went to, and nobody else in my house has been eating them.

We put up the 'For Sale' banner on our house. My parents have been scouring newspapers for houses and have been visiting open houses almost every other day. No luck so far :(

My mom did mention penthouses. I told her as long as its freehold and big enough for everyone, I guess it's fine. Dog will be fine too, she was never a big fan of grass anyway.

Roti's in the hospital (Aresha's pet ferret in Australia). I never met the little thing, but strangely I feel at some sort of loss. Touchwood she hopefully doesn't have cancer nor will die soon, so I will be able to see her at the end of the year when Aresha smuggles her in. Haha. Then maybe when I become a bigshot vet I can pass some ferret legalisation bill so we can start a ferret farm of sorts, cause they're so cute. Woohoo!

I went for a facial yesterday evening. Thankfully, I didn't leave the place with two black patches on my cheeks like last month cause the lady squeezed a bit too hard. So I looked like I got punched in both cheeks by someone with retardedly small fists. It was hilarious, until I had to go to school like that. Then the day after Panorama, after wearing so much concealer that my face was a totally different colour from the rest of my body, it peeled off with so much ease I cursed and swore more than I usually do.

Yay! I think we're bringing Dog to the beach today. After Ma and Pa see yet ANOTHER house.

Okay. Here's a list of things i've bought/auctioned for online:

1. Purple beach dress
2. Slippers with giant red hearts
3. Guess? tote bag which could be fake but it's so cute
4. A tentative pair of maryjanes.. I'm waiting for them to get back to me

Have I ever commented about Singapore Idol? I was talking to Sujana the other day, both of us squealing about the Coldplay concert at first, then she said Paul Twohill looks like a penis.

I want either Jonathan or Mathilda to win. They're the only ones who can sing, sheesh what is Singapore thinking? And maybe a small part of me is rooting for Hady too. But.. he's got that matmotor face lah. But he can sing.

Nurul is cute but cannot sing. Joakim WAS cute then got irritating. Jasmine + other chinese girl who was kicked out i'm not sure, just... no. Rahimah, Paul, are there anymore? They all SUCK. Haha I just love my baseless criticisms which require none and may actually kill some of my brain cells.

ah crap.

I just lost the entry I did on national day. Oh well.

In short, TPJC National Day celebrations and NDP rocked.

And i'm hooked on online shopping again. Bought a dress and slippers. Go me! :D

Sunday, August 06, 2006

hello its a sunny yellow banana day!

Yay it's Sunday!

I went to photograph the Interact Club's Installation yesterday. Quite emotional and all. And I got a free bubble tea out of it from the club's new president, WEI ZHENG! Woohoo!

I came home and started taking all sorts of nonsense pictures. I'm still in need of A LOT of practice and Ungku totally slammed the pictures I took of Dog. It was sad but it made me realise I need to experiment more instead of using the same modes over and over just for the sake of convenience.

Pa and I will be going for the National Day Parade this year. I almost gave this year's parade a miss cause I've been going practically... every year but he kept bugging me cause the tickets he got were in the White Sector. Which is the grandstand. So I asked him to bring Ma.

No, she wants to spend the day at home.

Bring Ash?

No, the crowd is too large he'll kick up a fuss and the usual garb.

Then he said Ma asked him to bring me. I never thought of that, so I yelled OKAY! over the phone. There was a 2-second period of silence from him then he went 'Uhhh... Umm.. Okay. So you are sure ah? I have a carpark label so we don't need to walk.'

Yay! I'm going for NDP with my dad. I don't know why i'm so happy. Haha! Maybe he doesn't feel as strongly about the whole situation, but whatever. As I recall, the last time I actually ENJOYED NDP was when I was in Primary 2, and I went with my dad. Strange.

Oh. Overseas CIP had its first meeting on Friday. We were split into our committees and we had to write down the ones we want in order of how much we want them. Mine was Interaction, Teaching, Donation, Secretarial and Logisitics & Finance, in order of what I wanted. I got secretarial! At first it was a tad heartbreaking cause Meijuan and Daphne got Interaction.

Interaction's the committee that plans all the games for the kids.

Secretarial does the handbook, records minutes of meetings and settles post-trip reflections and presentations to the school. Oh and photography and videography of the trip. Which is probably why I was put in there, being the only Photography member in OCIP.

Turns out, secretarial freaking rocks! We had great cooperation and at the same time we talked so much cock it was unbelievable. Interaction? Ah, don't ask. They were quiet from where I was sitting. I thought they were immersed in discussion but turns out it was so much... less.

One word: Politics. Which is something we really don't need.

Aiya. My coldplay pics are so long overdue. So here's one of the dunnohowmany I took. Sorry its so small! I still dunno how to watermark. AHAHA sorry.

Ok so now i'm gonna shower and fool around with the D70 a bit more. BUAIZZZXXX.
